Have you seen Alias? What's it like? [glow=red,2,300]I watched all of Alias that i could before it got moved to Sky/Cable tv. It was good to start with, but then it got really confusing and complicated!! It's very heavy, and takes a lot of effort to keep up with the whole mythology storyline in it!! [/glow]

Apparently the pilot episode cost 12 million dollars to make.

Thanks Rich. I'll scout around for those vouchers. Will check Amazon again, as their price has been coming down daily since I first looked a couple of days ago! I know the price will drop even more soon (Play is asking £32 and their prices don't generally go up again, unlike Amazon), but can I wait??! Now Lost weekend has been postponed for a further two weeks, and I've only got two eps of S2 on video to keep me company, I need something to feed the obsession. Have you seen Alias? What's it like? Of course, I've still got 2 seasons of Millennium to get through but I really want to watch Lost in its entireity! BB credited back the rental cost, so I bought a couple of DVDs - XF Movie and Twelve Monkeys. I'd have bought Lost but they only had the first half of S1 for a whopping £28!!! No worries hope you find one that works I think your right and the price will continue to drop now S2 has started again on C4. ;D I've never seen Alias, well I have actually seen a couple of eps possible the pilot many years ago, but can't remember anything about it at all.

Apparently the pilot episode cost 12 million dollars to make. Wow thats a lot for a pilot! Although watching the DVD extras and seeing all the the work involved you can see why

Apparently the pilot episode cost 12 million dollars to make. Are we talking Alias or Lost here? Either way, seems way too much for a TV pilot.

Lost I think although I'm confused now. Remember hearing something about it being really expensive somewhere in the DVD extras, so I think it's Lost

I rewatched the first 2 eps of S2 today and realised why I found it so slow a start to the season. First of all, there's more flashbacks than ever, and they're much more tied it to what happens next, so they hadn't given me the same feel of gradually building up a picture of individual characters. It also meant there was less 'real action' going on. Secondly, ep 2 recapped a lot of what happened in ep 1, which was rather annoying. Plus of course, the cliffhanger of ep 1 was almost ignored by ep 2, which was frustrating! I suppose S1 did that a lot too, but when you watch 25 eps in a row like I did, you don't get the chance to feel so frustrated. Why do you think Desmond didn't show the same recognition to Jack that Jack did to him? Seems odd Jack should remember some random guy from a stadium years ago so clearly. Do you think "see you in the next life" was a clear indication that Desmond had some insight into their future? And do you think there may be more to Desmond always calling him 'brother'? And does anyone else think Locke may not be feeling so sure of himself now? Just a few random thoughts to throw around.

Will have a think about that one tomorrow :-) but had to just reply quickly as something really weird just happened. I've got Lost on at the moment on vid in the background and just as I was reading the second paragraph of your post, the part about Jack regognising Desmond, that exact part of the episode was on the screen just as I was reading it. spooky!

LOL Spooky! Just like when I was listening to your CD and I found that story outline from years ago, based on the very song and charity on the CD!! Something really weird is happening you know Rich... we do live on an island ourselves of course...
