Okay! I know most of you will have seen the upcoming episode on E4 by now, but have lots going through my head about last night's episode on c4! Firstly, I guess it's my own fault for being a bit of an obsessed x-phile (you know how I feel! ), or maybe it's the presence of Terry O'quinn, but I can't help relating LOST to The X-files all the time LOL!! I remember when Ethan first came and kidnapped Claire, I was so sure he was just going to stand and watch her have her baby, like Billy Miles in ... umm.. the ep where scully had her baby :$:$:$ Existance?? Okay, of course that didn't happen - but we saw how strong Ethan was which made me automatically think of Billy Miles, and the idea he might also be some kind of suyper soldier like character. Which makes me really unconvinced about what happened last night - Jack managed to beat him up?!?!!??! How the hell did that work?? He had him knocked flat a few episodes ago - and surely he wouldn't have let himself be beaten up, considering what then happened?? I also seriously don't think he's dead LOL! The show has just got to be too spooky for that! ooh but then he also came from the water.... bit of a Shannon McMahon thing going on??;-D hehe hmm.... NO SPOILING!!! Love, JM:)

I haven't watched last nights E4 ep yet, too tired to watch it last night so watching it tonight after Bleak House ;D
I agree the similarities are definitely there! I also reckon Claire's baby is going to turn out to have some special abilities aka William. If so, then I'd guess at telekinesis ;D

It's not exactly crap, it's just all up in your head. It's crap how it makes you sit on the edge of your seat and really want to see the next episode, it makes me feel like a sad arse. I'm on the 10th episode of season 2 now, things are warming up ^_^.

[shadow=black,left,900]If you think that's a sign of crap telly then might I suggest that you are more suited to watching nothing more taxing than 'I'm a Celebrity...' from now on, for that will surely not make you feel that you are obligated to find out what happens next. I just don't get it, that has to be the major draw of watching Lost, the very fact that it does make you wonder what's happening, doesn't give you all the answers on a plate during the first five seconds of viewing, keeps winding the plot into a tight bundle which you enjoy trying to unravel for yourself... In that way it reminds me a lot of another show I really used to enjoy watching, you might have heard of it, it was a little series called The X-Files. Similarly they both have a problem in common, if a casual viewer were to try and dip into the series having not followed the whole, then those people will be themselves hopelessly lost. Though for each of the afore mentioned two I am and was one of the informed from the start (or near as damn it with X-F, joining on the 5th ep and catching the previous 4 before the dawning of the 2nd series) that was never a concern for me. Isn't the essence of successful entertainment of any kind, the fact that you as the watcher, reader, listener, should want to continue watching, reading, listening to find out what happens next? Or is it just me missing the point? [/shadow]

I think my Andy's got the point completely I can see Flash has been drawn into it herself, how can you not, you just need to accept that and start liking it LOL!! I'm not much of a telly watcher when it comes down to it, and there's few shows I tune in regularly to watch. I caught the adverts for LOST and was intruiged, so glad I got to watch the pilot at yours Ass! It's so refreshing cos I feel we haven't had something like this since the x-files ended, and it's great to look forward to a new episode every week, completely unaware of what could happen or what twist will come next!! It gets me thinking too, not like, what was that show you mentioned ASS? Don't even want to spell it out in honor of this thread LOL!!! Like you said, could well find it difficult to get into it at a later stage, more so with LOST than The X-files even, because of how LOST is centred on so many characters and their relationships, making it hard to catch up on them all and so understand a lot of events and how they affect everything. For those of you who haven't seen them all, Do a Rich! or get the season set of the first 12 eps which is out now and is something you won't regret buying either!!! I am soooo pleased about the last ep on E4 hehe! As for Claire's baby, I think you're right Rich - I do also wonder whether it'll be psychic or something, due to her connection to that. Somehow it's got to be completely vital and powerful, as it is capable of such disaster unless influenced by her goodness! Interesting play on the idea of fate, as Lord of The Flies (if seen as a main influence of LOST) was very much making out that their fate was set out for them and they'd always return to this one 'human nature', rather than being able to change anything Wooo bring on Wednesday!! Loads of love & peaunt butter, JM:) xXx ;D

I'm on the 10th episode of season 2 now, things are warming up ^_^. Thats exactly what's good about it! I want to see the next episode (yes I really do - NOW!) Maybe I'm wrong but surely that is how good TV should make you feel. God knows we could do with some what with all these trashy reality TV shows doing the rounds the last few years. It's nice to be reminded of what quality TV is. Think ASS summed it up perfectly in her post. ;D It can't be too bad if you're still watching it into season 2 and I'm guessing taking the trouble to download the episodes as they're broadcast in the US ;D

Everyone has their own opinions. I do not watch I'm a celebrity, and I shall keep watching season two, because i'm intrigued as to where it's going. Doesn't mean I like it.

(}) Eek my ass / ( We need to get you E4 in our room!!! Definite shocker, despite the fact that's what about 4 people spoiled me on! I am soooo frustrated at Jack though for blaming Locke! Fair enough he's done a weird one by buggering off, but murder was definitely not in question, and it irritates me that after all that, Jack still couldn't let go and accept the fact that Boone hadn't survived and that Jack couldn't save him - understandably considering the fact they were on a virtually unequipped island! So cute about Claire's baby (oh Charlie!!! ), and Shannon almost had me in floods at the end (not to mention when she got with Sayid!;-D... again! ) Hope the next ep was just as good!! there's been so many superb one's in a row now! How many have we got left? It all seems to be leading up to something!! bring it on!! Loads of love, JM:) xXXx
