Also after watching a few episodes i can see how the shows are simular to xfiles. Other than the obvious, two partners solving supernatural crimes storyline, ive seen actors from xfiles who have been in supernatural, ive even seen a couple of locations i knew from The xfiles. Kim Manners is one of the directors.

[shadow=black,left,900]It just didn't grab my attention somehow. I saw trailers for it, but wasn't struck with a compulsion to watch. Maybe it was looking too much like an X-Files/Millennium-cross style show but more mainstream than either of them. Hmmm or maybe I'm just getting old Anyway - I've not yet bothered to watch a whole ep. Perhaps I'll try to catch the next one, but I get the impression there's a running theme through it which I'll completely miss now. Oh Well[/shadow]

There's one episode that supposed to have WBD in LOL might watch that one if I remember and it's not already been on. Episode 9 I think it is.

He had better not play a cheesey charicter simular to the xfiles, ie smokes a bunch or some shit, it lowers both shows to just lame jokes,

Just spent the last day or so downloading all 22 episodes of the first season ;D Going to give it a try and see what I think. It seems to have a good XF atmoshere about it ;D could be that it's shot in and around Vancouver & involves former XF crew Kim Manners & John Shiban.

I can never get them to work The Glasto ones were from image files which were already compiled and just copied ;D I can copy the episodes to a DVD for you so they are watchable on your PC though ;D

I bought the first series on DVD so I'll give it a go when I have time.

Watched the pilot last night, not bad. You can really see X Files type paw prints all over it - music, production values, etc. Perhaps a little obvious in its storytelling, but it's early days yet! Seemingly there's a lot more to it than the X Files vibe, though.

I'm having a wee bit of trouble getting into this. 8 episodes down. Hmmm. It's got good production values (well, mostly), it's well shot, I like the humour and the male leads, but...so far the stories are a little straight forward. Weird stuff happens, Dean and Sam go to the town, pretend to journalists, FBI agents, park rangers, they investigate, meet townsfolk, confront the monster/demon, etc and then the guys are back on the road. It's fairly entertaining, still waiting to be a little freaked out by the stories, though. I believe there's a mytharc so I'll see what the rest of s1 brings. I hope their dad makes an appearance, also.
I'm told things really kick in with the mytharc in s2.

Getting a bit more into it now, am up to 17. It seems to have picked up and the lads are more directly or immediately involved in the cases.

Nearing the end of s5 now, still enjoying it. Some of the lines are downright hilarious, even in the darker episodes.
