hmmm maybe the new movie could be animated , like heard a rumor about a Ghostbusters 3 that is animated. Surley M&S said every word they might need to say over the past 9 seasons, would just need to dub it over

Dan Aykroyd has said that they're working on Ghostbusters 3 as a CGI movie, mainly because that is the only way that Bill Murray will take part...but Aykroyd has been making his mouth go about things like this more that DD has been so I'm half sceptical about that. I don't think I can see X-Files going into an animation or cgi...it would turn away the more adult fans (although I hate that animation is sterotyped as being for kids...grrr!). You never know though. PS. Who's the other lover eh?

I couldn't see myself being scared by an animation, well obviously not I'm a MAN! I wonder by Murry doesn't want to be invloved? Look forward to the day all actors are computer generated, and we can't tell the difference. No egos to get in the way of good tv and films!

I'm not sure why Bill Murray didn't want to do it..I've heard a lot of reports, like he doesn't like sequels or think it's too late etc...apparently that doesn't mean his voice too though (eg. Garfield 1&2). Animations can be awesome and enjoyable for adults like other films I think, I totally reccomend Bellville Rendez Vous, awesome film! Or watching shows like Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law...they're more adult stuff. But I'd have no idea how something like X-Files would work either. I can see what you mean by the whole ego thing and I love how voice actors can change their voices so much.....but I don't want that day to come...I'm a film student and I love visuals, there's a beauty to a well shot film.....or in other words, if that happens, then I'm out of a career (if it ever gets started that is).

If it happens I'll be glad i went down the computer programming route Although since my friend's a film student, I stupid agreed to be his sound engineer (not knowing what this meant, he seemed to have the confidence in me anyway) and it invloved holding a microphone over actors for about 6 hours. Anyway, That's the thing with the Simpsons, if Dan Castellaneta quit they I'm sure they could find a "sound-alike" - not sure how well that would go down with the fans.

They'd be screwed because he does like 20 Simpsons characters voices. But yeah, it's much easier to hire a voice actor and even replace one than an on screen actor. I'm trying to do an ainimation in my third year just in case this kind of thing happens. I was a sound engineer for someone last year...it was the most boring week of my life.
