How's your film coming along, Wigs? Is the working title Ciggy is Done or Kentucky Fried Ciggy? ;D You're a funny man Ahab We wrapped filming just over a week ago (I think) and now we're just starting the pre production period. Should be finished by the end of April with any luck. I really, really enjoyed making it though, there's nothing like being on a film set...even if it's a student film. Any news about what was said at this XF2 conference thingy?

The most part of the conference was taken up with DD apologising for his remark on Vancouver being wet! New stuff, well nothing really.

No sir, not for a year...it could make its way there but it'll be without my permission. We're sending it out to festivals over the next year, if it appears on youtube then it's automatically disqualified from any festivals (that's if anyone chooses it in the first place that is). If you'd like a copy then I could send you a DVD ...I saw part of the edit today...lets just say you can tell I'm still a student.

Cool, good luck with the festivals! What's it about?
Don't think there's anything new on XF2 just now, mostly speculation as usual.

X-Files fans will get a preview of the theatrical trailer for the second big-screen adaptation of the sci-fi favorite this week. According to TVGuide.com, the trailer will be screened Wednesday (March 26th) during the Paley Television Festival in Hollywood, California. The film, due July 25th, reunites FBI agents Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson), adding Amanda Peet and rapper-turned-actor Xzibit as fellow agents investigating a scary supernatural case. The Paley Festival will also offer a retrospective of X-Files' nine-year run on the Fox TV network. www.kbsradio.ca/news/55/688462A preview? How about the real thing, this is getting silly now. We need a proper trailer. Apparently this event starts at 7pm local time so those of us not in Hollywood will have to wait until tomorrow.

Thanking you Ahab - we'll have to see if it's any good first though. It's kinda hard to say what it's about...without making it sound dumb that is. It's a stupid rom-com type of thing about a guy who is a bit idle and a big day dreamer. Is that the same trailer as the one they showed at the convention thingymabob?

I'm sure it will be fine. Ja, it's different from what was shown at Wondercon, it has some different footage but there's a bit more included in that one. Word around the 'net is that it will be bundled officially with Iron Man in early May...a bit late, no? To be honest, I'm a bit confused with all this sneak preview, special preview, teasers, con footage...urgh. At least with other films it's generally clear - usually starts off with a teaser, then trailer 1 might be over a minute and a full trailer which can be around the 2.30 mark. Oh, and Fox has finally mentioned it on their website! The synopsis is nothing we haven't already heard, as for the title: Carter was tightlipped about the title. "I can't tell you," he said. "I know what I want it to be, but Fox has some ideas of their own." I hope Fox don't have too much creative control. Don't worry, I'll stop moaning now!

I just watched it - it made the hairs on my neck stand up ...I can't wait for this...with or without a crappy title. Does Mulder say "I just wanna win" at the end of it?

Hehe. Yup, we all need that poster. Do posters end up in shops before films come out? You can tell I know nothing.
You feeling any better, Betty?

Sometimes they do but normally it's just the main poster(s) not so sure about the teasers. Although I got a teaser free for FTF when I bought one of the file videos (maybe File 11? can't remember) I have a official poster I bought in Forbidden Planet for FTF. If you really (and you would really have to want it!) there is one for XF2 currently on eBay. cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270223757879
