Tickling my musical fancy at the moment, are in particular; Nine Inch Nails - And All That Could Have Been. It's absolutely belting!! Must copy that for my car as soon as it's finished it's latest run on the Stereo. Hm wonder if there's anything on there I can introduce to the kids at work LOL it's a tall order but I might be able to find something...
The Chemical Brothers - Push The Button. Could be their best one yet, not enjoyed listening to a full album of dancy stuff in an age. If they do more Gigs in the coming months I'll be there!
A Perfect Circle - eMotive. I kind of forgot about it after buying it, but now Wiggy has reminded me about it, and it's sounding fantastic! Makes me want to put theirs & Tool's back catalogues on right now!
Pearl Jam - got a load of stuff of theirs I'm catching up on too, they're growing on me slowly but surely.
I'm also looking forward to new releases & those bringing gigs, feels like for ever ago I went to see the last one. Think it was Sarah McLachlan & that must have been about 3 months ago now! This is not Good!

[glow=Black,5,300] All of a sudden I think I get your name Marc. Haven't heard much from the Manics for a while now, It took me ages to get into This is My Truth... I thought I didn't like it at all, until about 3 years after I bought it I heard it again in my mates car & decided I was very and inexplicably wrong! I have Know your enemy too, but I think I might need to get back in my mates car & hope she puts that one on too. Ocean Spray is the standout track from the album - I cant name another Maybe I should go raid my collection now and give it another try. Playing right now; The Weight - Aretha Franklin [/glow]

Hhhmm I'm always having an argument about the Manics with my friend who believes he's some sort of reincarnated Richie Edwards. The Holy Bible is a good album but the rest hasn't won me over, only the odd song...I have their hits CD and I've rarely played it though. Hey Marc Flaming Lips have a new album out very soon don't they? I like Yoshimi battles the pink robots...or whatever its called lol...I just noticed this morning that I bought that in a sale during the summer and have only listened to it once lol...oops! I've been listening to some tracks from Queens of the stone ages upcoming album and it sounds awesome I also randomly put on PJ Harvey's latest album and Dance the devil by the Frames...I have to play those more often! But Electro Shock Blues by Eels is my new bible, it's so beautiful!

[glow=black,5,300] Now I've heard of the Flaming Lips, and know I've probably heard some of their stuff, but I have no idea what it is... Just realised this week that I'm going to see Rammstein on Sunday - so I got the new album today so I'll have a vague idea what I'm listening to. I'm just looking forward to the flames and near death experience! LOL It'll all be good. Erm what else have I been listening to lately? I found some more John Martin & Velvet Underground this week, so will have to give them a good run in. Have also rediscovered Audioslave, nothing better than seeing a bunch of 2 year olds moshing to good old heavy bass & guitars. 'Not children's music' I hear you say? Who cares! Playing right now; Beth Orton - Best Bit [/glow]

Uh-Oh, talking to myself now, this is bad!
However I just thought I should pop in and assure Jenny that I'm not dead. Nope, even Rammstein and all their flame-throwers and explosions could penetrate The Anorak Of Fire!
That was quite possibly the best gig I've been to LOL so much happening, fantastic value for money (especially as I didn't pay for my ticket - Good old Melvis!), & so funny! Wonderful stuff!!
Ok so you might be able to guess but now I'm on a big Rammstein kick LOL digging out Mutter, blasting it out, along with Reise, Reise & Sehnsucht
Playing right now = Spiel Mit Mir

[glow=green,2,300]Aww wow I forgot you were going to see them...did the singer Til Linderman (I think thats his name...I have a friend who is a HUGE fan) do anything things with his microphone?...I've seen pictures :S I went to a gig today, the union had some people playing and my housemate Scott opened for the show...lol he had a great night, he wasn't feeling too well, he hit his face off the mic hurting his lip and then he snapped a string at the start of the second song and had to wait a while for the sound guys to get him a new guitar lol...and he was going to cover Green Day's Time of your life...haha the irony! Anyhoo a few albums which you HAVE to listen to Weezer - Pinkerton A perfect Circle - Thirteen steps Eels - Beautiful Freak/Electro shock blues Pearl Jam - Rear View Mirror I can go on forever telling how much I love those albums at the moment!!! *HUGS* Oh and ASSY you're still not forgiven for Saturday night!!! [glow=Black,5,300] I thought it was eMotive you were listening to Perfect Circle wise? I guess you could be listening to Thirteenth step too. That one is probably my favourite of theirs, but cos mine has the awful copy control on it I can't use them on compilations unless I download (& I don't have anything on my comp at the mo ) Anyway - I was too busy looking at all the fire, & ducking when explosives went off over my head to worry too much about the mics! LOL I think he chucked it about a bit, but other than that just your normal aggressive type Mic wheedling. Why what have you seen? I got a great CD recently Wiggs, but I'm not gonna say a word about it - will be making a CD very soon me thinks, and gonna put a track on for you. It'll blow you away like Ciggy in The Truth - you'll be bathed in fire as the sonic melee hits you. *waits for CD's to drop through her door with recommended stuff on...* [/glow]

[glow=green,1,300]Oh yeah I haven't sent the CD to yet have I? ...I think a longer wait is in the works after that Ciggy comment...retract it and tell me which CD you bought and I'll send you many reccomendations Well I don't know if you could call them that lol I'm not sure you'd like the stuff I'm into at the moment...but hey there's one way to find out! I was listening to eMotive...but I kind of forgot the name BUT I am also listening to Thirteenth step...I have it on my computer in some weird format so I dont think I can put it on a CD argh!! What am I listening at this very moment?? ...Well it's QOTSA's new single Little Sister soon to be followed up by Spinal Meningitis Got me Down by Ween Oh and you don't know what I've seen the guy do with the mic!! [/glow]

Ah ha music is life! Well owing to recent computer woes I'm rebuilding my mp3 collection so that will take a while. Got most of it back, just have to rip some CDs. And my mini disc has been gathering dust for the last few weeks owing to uni being quite busy. Not bought a lot recently, though my "yet to be listened to" pile does seem to grow. Let me see: Radiohead - OK Computer still not listened to it. Best of Lynard Skynard. Jimi Hendrix, can't remember the name, only cost 5 euro for 2 CDs, not complaining! Other Voices series 2. And more I can't think of. Recent musings, Damien Rice ;D Counting Crows,

Can't stand that song with all the speaking, although still it is a great album.

I never really got any further with Radiohead after 'the bends' album and find they are like a lot of bands that get loads of hype after one good album but are a bit hit and miss afterwards. But still agree, music IS life. Personally have rather eclectic tastes in music - from Chet Baker & Dean Martin to Genesis, 10CC, but most of the time you'll find me erring on the side of rock. Went to see the Manics at wembley just b4 christmas and despite not having bought any of their music since 'Design for Life' thought they were sh*t hot, so much so that I am off to see them again in April @ Hammersmith. Also listening to Velvet Revolver - Contraband, went to see them a couple of weeks ago, seeing Slash play guitar is an event in itself. Big fan of Filter too, first heard them in 2nd season episode D.P.O and bought the album 'short bus', been a fan ever since - saw them at the Astoria after their 3rd album came out...of course the lead singer being Robert Patricks little bro is simply a bonus - gotta keep it in the family right? P.S U may notice I like going to gigs, name a gig, I'll go... tho I draw the line at Celine Dion, I'm not suicidal!
