Is it out on DVD? I've gone through the second series of the Wire now, looking forward to getting 3 at some point.

The first four (technically five as they morphed the first two into one season) are on DVD. The HMV website has the second season (the best in my opinion) on sale I think.

Cool, might keep an eye out for it. Anyone been following Stephen Fry in America? Ack, I missed it again - it's on Sundays isn't it? Ah well, the internet is our friend My friend has recorded the Daily Show and Colbert report American election convention broadcasts from the US and sent them over to me on DVD (oh technology - and that was a big mouth full). They've be interesting to watch - although I'm really starting to struggle with American humour recently. Been watching Father Ted a lot

I think it's usually repeated on Saturdays too. I can't use iPlayer but I've seen it on TV. Some kind soul has also put them on youtube. Morgan Freeman was in episode 3.

Classmate gave me a loan of Deadwood series 1. Contains a lot of swearing! Am enjoying it so far, though.

Borrowing Garth Marenghi's Dark Place from my sister right now - I remember seeing part of a episode during its original run a few years back - it was funny from what I remember. Haven't watched the DVD yet. Got too many to watch right now - The Dark Knight, Run Fat Boy Run, Grave of the Fireflies - ack too many

Thanks for telling me Barry - I saw the TV ad and got rather excited....only that's too late me on a weekday I tried to watch the first episode, and it appeared interesting but I fell asleep. They're showing it every night and I missed two eps so I don't know what's going on ha. Could be a BBC iPlayer job. I borrowed season one of 30 Rock off a friend, and although it wasn't too great to start with, it picked up and became very funny in my opinion. I'm not sure I like Tina Fey as a lead (she's great, but not sure about a lead) but I'm totally surprised by how good and funny Alec Baldwin is in it - he makes it for me.

Yes, unfortunately it's been on quite late. I only watched one episode myself. A proper rewatch will have to be done at other stage. It's not on iplayer, here's an explanation why www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/bbcinternet/2009/03/why_no_wire.htmlI finished series 6 of The Shield today. Finished Carnivale too, talk about leaving you wanting more. Recently purchased House of Cards, looking forward to that.
