:oMainly if it tips it down with rain and there's really nothing I want to see at the time (which is probably unlikely, but you never know) and before bed if I can't sleep oh and for the journey since I'm not driving ;D but I'm up for plenty of exploring, according to the leaflet the sites 900 acres lol so we'll need lots of time to look around ;D Was pleased with my bargains ;D also saw Season 1 & 3 boxsets for £3 each or 2 for £5! Would have been very tempted if I didn't already have them. Thinking about how much I paid now, why oh why didn't I wait

I bought the book Candy last Friday and I'm almost done with it. It's really good, but some parts are a little disturbing...

[shadow=black,left,900]Betty, Yeah you def need to read The Talisman, which is also written by SK & Peter Straub, before you get stuck into Black House. Not sure if you'd count it as a direct follow up, but it's connected in a very strong way. As for the Gunslinger books, once you've read them you'll notice that damn near, if not all, SK's books are connected in ways you would never understand otherwise. Lucky you cos the series is complete now, and you won't have to wait for Yeeeeeeeears like the rest of us did between volumes LOL. But thinking again you have 7 books to get through, most of which are typically hefty volumes. Well worth the effort of reading though for reasons stated above - prepare for loads of "Ooooh", "Wow!" & "No Frickin' Way!" moments to hit you in the face. As to what I'm reading - Just finished reading Servant Of The Bones pretty good, enjoyable enough story, but perhaps Rice's writing style becomes a little repetitive on occasion. Would still probably read something else by her though... Have now started reading the second book of the T2 (thankfully pre and unrelated to the Terminator3 move) follow up books: T2 Rising Storm by SM Stirling so far[/shadow]

[shadow=black,left,900]I would still recommend that you start reading the Gunslinger books as soon as you can though - then your perception of all things connected will change forever, & in the later few books explain a few things about SK himself...
1st one seems quite slow, but it sets 2 of the most important characters in the rest of the books rolling along the path of the beam. You'll want to go there with them.[/shadow]

[shadow=black,left,900]You sure you're not recommending Robert Crais's Demolition Angel there Jenny? (no wonder you didn't find any more of his ) I want to read more about Carol Starkey, think I'd rather read her than have a poor interpretation of her on the TV though. At least for now. Currently reading Voodoo River - by the one and only Robert Crais[/shadow]
