I found it a pretty good book, mind you I like all of Dean Koontz books If you like it I'll keep an eye out for a few more in the charity shops, there seems to be a ready supply of them. Still reading Potter, I kept forgetting to put it in my work bag, but it's in again now, should start to get somewhere with it soon.[/shadow]

Aww poor Betty! Can you remember any details of it? try typing what you can remember into google, you never know - you may stumble over the right result!! never give up on a miracle, love from Skajenny who's still not got any further in her Tami Hoag book, but is currently studying the american poetess Emily Dickinson x [glow=red,2,300]After hours searching every autobiography on Barnes and Noble's website i have finally found the book!!!! Need to try to put more time aside for reading. I'd read some before I went to bed if I ever went to bed before midnight. Only get about 6 hours sleep a night these days as it is. lol. Yeah, if you see any interesting ones or ones you can recommend please pick them up. I'll always give you the money for them, thanks! ;D Only other Dean Koontz books I have are 'Ticktock' & 'Dark Rivers of the Heart' so anything apart from them really You're welcome to borrow those if you've not already read them ;D

[shadow=black,left,900]I've read and got both those books, think they were some of the 1st ones I read of his too, after Intensity. Ah yeah that was it, I started reading them when I had my jaw wired up & couldn't work for 9 weeks. Hehe maybe I should get it done again... ;D
Have you read them yet, or just bought and shelved them? I remember Ticktock pretty vividly. I love Tommy & Del (her full name is great by the way), you'll def be looking for a dog as a pet if/when you have/do read it.[/shadow]

Getting your jaw wired up again is probably taking it a bit far, but 9 weeks off work would certainly be good. I could deal with that even if it was unpaid, I just want more time off! Bought them probably about a year ago, maybe? something like that anyway. Haven't started either of them yet but if I enjoy the rest of LE then I'll probably start on one of those next ;D

[shadow=black,left,900]Finished my potter about a week ago, oooh, feels quite a lot like a bridging book, which has set up the final instalment very nicely thank you very much... Looking forward to that ;D Just finished reading another by Koontz - The Taking. X-F friendly again, similarish to SK's Dreamcatcher, but then again not. It's quite freakish especially at the beginning, great bed time reading especially when it's bombing down with rain (and it was when I was reading it ), as ever with DK it was an enjoyable read. Wondering what to read next, will have to consult my stacks of unread books, there's just too many to choose from. Maybe something featuring Elvis Cole, or The Descent (not connected to the movie).[/shadow]

[shadow=black,left,900] Decided on The Descent by Jeff Long, and although it's not strictly linked to the film, it had a similar yet far more elaborate storyline with the added bonus of a search for the devil himself (actually he did 'look' rather like ciggy in my head) thrown in. A good book, JM you should read it. Now stuck into Sunset Express - Robert Crais. I love Elvis Cole. Rec I'll be searching for something else come tomorrow evening, especially if I have to sit around for donkeys before they call us in to court again. Oh well, at least I have a good book... ;D [/shadow]

[glow=red,2,300]I'm telling you now, for your own sake, DON'T CONTINUE READING THAT BOOK!!!! I had to study it for my english lit. gcse!! It used to put me in such a bad mood!!! I HATE the character Holden!! An insult to teenagers [which he is meant to represent! ] I ended up taking a craft knife to that book [after the exam]...and it's now in little shredded pieces!! See what it does to you?!?!!?!?!? ;D ANYway....i may well start reading Bleak House now....there had better be some serious SHAKE ME UP's in there after that rant!! LOL! ;D[/glow]

[shadow=black,left,900]Another one bites the dust... I remember absolutely nothing about the plot of Catcher now. Oh well Started Shadowmancer by GP Taylor - (only taken me 2 or 3 years to get round to it) kind of - on Friday but the bus was hammered so I didn't get very far, since then I have been too busy trying to get mullered so not ideal conditions for reading either. I'll get there eventually...[/shadow]

LOL Andy (mulderman!), I#m with Betty completely! Like you I read it voluntarily due to reccomendation, and although it's worthwhile reading IMO (had a lot of history behind it in some respects) it really is incredibly tiresome and you'll fnid there seriously is NO plot to it at all!!! Not significantly anyway! If I remember rightly though, I did think it was very cleverly written and you'll find the "plot" as such of the story, or should I say, the piont fo the book, is just to get inside the boys (forgot his crazy name!) head, and his view of things... awful as it may be... Enjoy! ;-D Ass, I'm forgetting it easily too!! not worth remembering!! [glow=red,2,300]His name is Holden. I wish i could forget. ;D [/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Believe me, the hate of that book isn't due to over-analysis. I hated it when i read it the first time through [without analysis] just because Holden is a whiney brat!! Eeek!! I don't like Of Mice and Men either!! They need to put something more upto date on the syllabus.....although i did really like A Streetcar Named Desire - you should try and convince your school to do that one instead!!hehe!!..or an XF novel!! ;D[/glow]
