[shadow=black,left,900]Shadowmancer was abandoned not long after I started it, oh dear. Might try again but it wasn't doing much for me before Christmas. Didn't read anything until March :S bloody winter, can't stand it. Have since read: Backspin - Harlan Coben Indigo Slam - Robert Crais (another Elvis Cole book ) Cell - Stephen King (fantastically gruesome even by his standards, actually had me Eeeew-ing out loud on the bus, cool! Oh and leaving my phone switched off a lot of the time too...) and now I'm into the last quater of The Face - Dean Koontz (and am enjoying not knowing what he hell is going to happen next ) Ahab why the hell are you reading about Asperger's I once knew a kid with that, who would only eat dry cracker sandwiches [/shadow]

[shadow=black,left,900]LOL I know it's not a condition that makes those who have it obsessively eat dry cracker sandwiches - it was merely an illustration, of which I could give many, of this kids weirdness! That's just the one which stands out most in my mind LOL Now I'm off to read some more of my book Hm wonder what the last kids story I read was... possibly a really cruddy version of Rapunzel, it was a Ladybird book that one of the kids brought in. The language in it really sucked, I much prefer my Grooooovy 70's tale about Rapunzel by Lynn & David Roberts (Wow it's the Dirty Bertie dude, why didn't I figure that before?) ;D Watch out for those rough, tough, little girl pirates JM![/shadow]

[shadow=black,left,900]Finished The Face
Now in T2: The Future War by S.M. Stirling, 3rd of 3 books, which I'm treating as a separate entity to the 1st 2 Terminator movies. A little annoying at times, but a shit load better than T3 which was just bollox! Didn't happen. [/shadow]

I just picked up a book called The Last Templar by Raymond Khoury (I've never heard of him), I saw it on a stand in Woolworths and thought meh. I haven't started it yet, but I'm a history and Templar buff (snore) so I intend to very soon!! The last bunch of books I've read have all been non-fiction such as the Lost Godess and study books...it's time for a good old story ...well, one that doesn't start hurting my head :S oooh I did read a sampler of The Rosary Girls on the bus the other day...twas interesting

My favourite bit is pretty early on I think so you'll prob have read it - it's about Humpty Dumpty LOL!!!! ;D Ooh get stuck into "Insomnia" as soon as if you can Rich!!! Loved that book, some great imagery... and really funny too (i can't spoil!) My reading block is over - zooming through "Pirates" - she punched him - GO GIRL!!! Cool book, but I wish she'd hurry up and be a pirate!! LOL! Swashbuckling love, JM xXx Well and truely drunk as... LOL yeah, I've read the Humpty Dumpty bit Enjoying it so far, might not get to read any tonight as of course Lost is on! ;D but I'll get back to it tomorrow ;D Maybe I'll start Insomnia next then. ;D

*grin* Glad to see some quality books mentioned in here. It did seem a long time before they got round to being pirates, didn't it Jen? But it's worth the waiting. Love that book. I'm "currently reading" Holy Blood, Holy Grail, and also Valley of Secrets. The quotes are cos I haven't actually read either of them for a couple of weeks at least now. To cope with LOST withdrawal I felt like reading some XF a couple of days ago, so I got about a third of the way through the Tiger, Tiger teleplay book while in the bath. Somehow didn't seem as compelling as it used to. Seemed rather simply, childishly written in fact. I feel like I need a really good, gripping, action book to get stuck into. Just been looking at the LOST novels on Amazon, but they sound a bit naff unfortunately. Dean Koontz and Stephen King are too graphic for my tastes. Best go to bed and watch a bit of Millennium instead methinks.

Am so stuck in this book now, only 100 pages at most to go, determined to get it done before Hay! Think I like Minerva/Jupiter best - she just had her pirate duel on the island! It's really well written, and incredibly informative! Still, she'd better hurry up and get with William cos there's not much space left to go! *I was so proud when they took over Captain Low's ship!* ;D Oh no, I'm starting to foget the story. Who's William? I like Minerva too. I feel a super pirate summer coming up!! Set Sail!! Avast lot of fun in the sun, me hearties! Yaarrrrrrr!!!

Yeah Rich, definitely go with Insomnia - it's quite taxing (it's bigggg) but worth it! Feel I should probably read a Stephen King next as I've still got so many left to go... but there's some Robert Rankins about somewhere too... hmm...!!! hehe yeah it's big, 760 pages of very small print! LOL. I'm almost read Bunnies now though should have it read by the end of the week ;D unless that is I start thinking too hard about Lost again, which gives me headaches

William is Nancy's love interest! He's so going to be a pirate too by the time I'm finished with him *ahem* the book! xXx I thought that's probably who he was. I'm sure there's a real 'Pirate Jenny' bit an at inn in the book, or did I just imagine it?
